  • vs 2: Jeremiah was locked in the court of the guard, in the house of the King of Judah
  • vs 3-5: King Zedekiah did not like the prophecy brought by Jeremiah,
    • “city will be given to Nebuchadnezzar, and its King will be taken to Babylon”

  • How Jeremiah is responding to Zedekiah through this event.

    • Land was not to be sold outside of the family  without first offering it to the family.
